Introduction Nudge Education is committed to making a positive environmental impact by reducing its carbon footprint while delivering critical interventions for chronically disengaged children. As our operations involve extensive travel across the United Kingdom, we recognise the importance of balancing our essential activities with responsible environmental stewardship. This policy outlines our approach to measuring, reducing, and offsetting carbon emissions, contributing to a sustainable future.
Goals and Commitments Our carbon measurement and reduction strategy aims to:
1. Measure: Accurately assess our current carbon emissions, focusing
on travel and transportation.
2. Reduce: Implement strategies to minimise emissions without
compromising the quality of our service.
3. Offset: Where reductions are not feasible, offset emissions through
credible programs.
4. Educate and Engage: Foster a culture of environmental awareness
within our organization.
Measuring Our Carbon Footprint We will:
- Conduct an annual audit to quantify emissions, with a primary focus on vehicle use.
- Use recognised tools and methodologies, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol or online carbon calculators, to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain records of fuel consumption, mileage, and any other relevant data.
Reduction Strategies To minimise our environmental impact, we commit to:
1. Optimising Travel:
- Encourage regional assignments to reduce long-distance travel.
- Promote virtual meetings and online collaboration where feasible to minimise unnecessary trips.
- Develop efficient travel routes for practitioners using route planning tools.
2. Vehicle Use:

Monitoring and Reporting We will:
